State Takes Control of NYRA
Saratoga Springs — New York State is now officially running New York’s racing business.
The legislature has taken final action on a bill to temporarily take control of the New York Racing Association for three years.
The move comes after a betting scandal saw top NYRA executives ousted.
The change is not expected to impact the Saratoga racing season.
