Phantoms New Contract?
Glens Falls — The City could be close to signing contract that would keep the Adirondack Phantoms here through at least 2013 — under that new deal improvements will also be made to the Civic Center.
Yesterday we told you that the Mayor of Allentown announced that his city will build a new arena for the American Hockey league team, which should be ready by late 2013.
Well on the heels of that news Glens Falls Economic Development Director Ed Bartholemew tells me that the city has proposed a 2-year contract extension for the hockey team, with the option for a third year.
That could keep the team here through at least 2013.
