Head of Open Door Soup Kitchen Resigns
Glens Falls — The head of the Open Door Soup Kitchen in Glens Falls is resigning.
The Rev. Bruce Hersey says in an e-mail to local media that he is leaving his post as Executive Director because of an “internal struggle with the board of directors.”
Hersey’s wife Debbie is also standing down as the Assistant Director. Hersey co-founded the soup kitchen and became its executive director in 2004.
