Hall of Fame Trainer Dies
Garden City — The horse racing community remembering Hall of Fame trainer Frank “Pancho” Martin today
Martin died Wednesday night at his downstate home following a brief illness. He was 86.
Martin was best known as the trainer of Sham, who finished second to Secretariat in the 1973 Kentucky Derby and Preakness.
