Fatal Car Crash, Drunk Driver Arrested
Hebron — A Vermont woman is behind bars in Washington County for allegedly causing a crash that killed a Rutland Man.
Police say that 29-year-old Cassie Earley of Arlington, Vermont was drunk when she crossed the center line on route 22 in Hebron early Sunday morning striking another vehicle.
The force of that collision caused the oncoming car to overturn trapping driver 83-year-old Vincent Muro and 63-year-old Ann Rigg inside. Muro was pronounced dead at Glens Falls Hospital. Rigg was treated and released.
Earley who was not injured in the crash is charged with DWI and vehicular manslaughter.
