10,000 Year-Old Find in Lake George
Lake George — A road project in Lake George has uncovered 10,000 year-old American Indian Artifacts.
Archaeologists say that they uncovered the items ahead of a repaving project on the parking lot and access road at the Million Dollar Beach. The artifacts date back to about 8,000 B.C.
The items will be taken to the State Museum in Albany. Previous digs have turned up prehistoric artifacts in the tourist village known for its French and Indian War sites.
